DEERING, NH & LAWRENCE, MA: Rose Marie De Fusco, 85, was born on May 29, 1938, passed peacefully and unexpectedly during a post luncheon snooze on September 4, 2023.
Rose was the widow of Anthony De Fusco. She was a lover of the natural world and forever childlike in her excitement over the first red leaf of fall and the wonder of all things Christmas. Rose was a birder, quilter, avid reader, traveler, collector and giver. She was sweet of soul, but woe betide to anyone foolish enough to mess with her daughters or loved ones.
Rose was deeply committed to her faith and was an active participant in her church community at Saint Mary’s. She was always quick with a kind word or compliment to any one she met. We will miss her gregarious spirit deeply as she had the ability to spread lightness and laughter wherever she went. Her exclamations of, “Weeee!!” as her aide pushed her wheelchair down the hallway of her assisted living facility will echo in our minds for years to come.
She is survived by her three daughters and their families, Robin and Nicholas D’Eri of Nashua NH, Lisa Pilsbury of Penacook NH, and Rebecca De Fusco and Jeffrey Grosner of Harrisville NH, three grandchildren, Jordan D’Eri and wife, Cassie Barret, Kayla Pilsbury, and Demetri Grosner and one great-grandchild Hayden D’Eri.
Mass will be held at St Mary’s, 38 Church Street, Hillsboro, NH on September 16th at 11:00, followed by a light luncheon in a location to be determined.
The Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family.
