DEERING, NH: Allan Winthrop Maddox, 68, of Deering, NH died Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Concord Hospital.
He was born February 27, 1954 in Andover, MA, the son of the late Warren A. Maddox, Sr. and Bertha M. Mollyneaux.
He went by many names, Al, Alby, Big Al the kiddy’s pal, and The Mayor. He served his family and community by always being there. He raised his family in Andover and Deering.
He was a Maintenance Engineer, ending his 20 years of dedicated work at Maine Line Graphics in 2020. Allan was a loving, hardworking, dedicated family man with a very kind demeanor who made an everlasting impression on many people. He could make friends anywhere. He enjoyed fishing, painting, spending time with his family and friends, and driving back roads with his beloved wife. His humor and caring heart will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Maddox, daughter, Sarah Taylor and husband, J. Taylor of Boseman, MT, daughter, Rebecca Packard and husband, Nathan Packard of Derry, NH, sister, Kay Pelletier and husband, Richard Pelletier of Dracut, MA, sister, Ann Andreson of Port Charlotte, FL, brother, Warren Maddox, Jr., brother-in-law, Edward Sankey of Deering NH, sister-in-law, Kathrine Sankey of Pompano Beach, FL, his five grandchildren, five nieces, seven nephews and his dog, Sesi.
Allan was cared for at Concord Hospital after a heroic battle with cancer and a long year following a triple bypass. He was with his wife and daughter during his last days and wanted to be remembered for the man he was.
