Kathleen L. Corazzini

Kathleen L. Corazzimi

ANTRIM, NH:  Kathleen L. (Kitty) Corazzini, 86, of Antrim NH, died on January 2, 2019, at Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook New Hampshire, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Cambridge to the late Barry and Kathleen (O'Connor) Meade and was raised in Bedford, MA. Kitty was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Corinne "Kim", and son-in-law, David Prentiss, her sister, Marilyn Endrodi, and brothers, John, Edward, and William.

Beloved wife of Richard R. Corazzini, mother of Richard M. of Lexington, MA; Jeffery and wife Lina of Chelmsford, MA; Todd M. of Antrim, NH and Scott M. and wife Rubina of Holden, MA. She is survived by her two sisters, Eileen von Birgelen and Maureen Korzelius of Baltimore, MD. She is a grandparent to Heather M. Corazzini of Boston and Thomas and his wife M.K. Corazzini and a great-grandmother to their son, Charles Robert Corazzini of Boston, MA. and many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her forever friends, Mitzy Obrien of Florida, Elizabeth Loring of New York, and Theresa Eaton of Lexington, MA.

Kitty and Dick were classmates, both graduating in 1950 from Lexington High School. Thanksgiving Day of 2018 was their 66th wedding anniversary! The lived in Lexington for 33 years, moved to Stow, MA for 15 years and then to her much loved log home in Antrim, NH for 18 years.

Kitty was a generous individual who loved cooking, entertaining, and music. She knew every word to every song on the radio. Cooking, cleaning and singing away. There wouldn't be a day that went by without Frank Sinatra, Al Martino and all the beautiful songs from the 40-50's. She was passionate about helping those in need by volunteering her time an energy to many charities and churches. She also enjoyed decorating and ran her own antique business called "Captiva Antiques" out of an old barn she and Dick restored in Stow, MA. Her home seemed to have something "new" to brighten up the house. But her real secret was to move or rearrange one item a day or bring one out to the barn and something back. Kitty was always ready with a cup of coffee, a snack, and an ear to listen. She helped many friends and neighbors get through hard times at the kitchen table by listening and sharing her home. She was voted "best dressed" in high school and all would agree she maintained this title throughout her life! Kitty was not just pretty, she was humble, kind, giving, and possessed true internal beauty!

Over the years while raising her children, Kitty started her own Orchid Flower business for fun and to augment the already established Corazzini Brothers Carnation Growers, that her husband owned and operated with his brother. She was smart, a good business woman, quick with a smile generous, and fun loving. This love carried over into her home where she tended flower beds, trellises, and gardens. She really shared cutting with friends and family. Birds, feeders, designing landscapes, and love of the outdoors kept her happy and healthy.

She and Dick raised their children with passion for outdoors activities. Kitty being a figure skater taught them to skate, grave them confidence to ski and enjoyed riding bikes to stay healthy ("one more lap" is a term they all recall). Her children remember her as a kind, giving, strong, gentle-hearted woman who above all was a caring mother who always encouraged them to pursue their goals.

Services will be private.

The Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service Hillsboro, NH is assisting the family.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Coos County Nursing Hospital in West Stewartston, NH for all the wonderful care, kindness, and dedication they provided during her time with them. They truly loved Kit. We would also like to thank the nurses who so lovingly and passionately cared for Kitty at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital during her passing.
