HILLSBORO, NH:  Mildred (Millie) Nickerson, 96, died peacefully surrounded by her family on February 14, 2017. 

She was born in Lemington, VT to Heaman and Bessie Nason.  She grew up in Bloomfield, VT and later moved to Hillsboro, NH.

Mildred was predeceased by her husband, of 49 years, Lester W. Nickerson, Sr. and her brothers, Burton Nason and Bernard Nason and her sister Edna Lanoue.

She enjoyed life fully.  She had been a member of the Keene Senior Center “Swingers”, Hillsboro Bowling League, and the Birthday Club Girls.  She loved dancing, music, golfing, camping, crocheting and needlework, reading, puzzles and especially spending time with her family.

Mildred is survived by her sisters, Kathleen Walling from Bloomfield, VT, Rilma Julio from Brockton, MA, her brother, Edwin Nason from West Barnet, VT, her children, Carl Nickerson and his wife Barbara from Holly Lake Ranch, TX, Ann Mooney, Bruce Nickerson, Lester Nickerson, Jr. and his wife Susan, all from Hillsboro, NH and Rilma Fox and her husband Gene from Henniker, NH, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Services will be held at Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home in Henniker on Saturday, February 18, 2017.  Visiting hours will be held at 1:00 pm at the Funeral Home with Memorial Services to follow at 2:00 pm.
