HILLSBORO, NH:  Robert Douglas, III, 84, of Hillsboro, NH died September 4, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. 

He was born In Patchogue, Long Island, NY to the late Robert Douglas, Jr. and Barbara (Zabora) Douglas. 

Being very mechanically talented, he was ever in the company of engines:  model airplane engines, antique hit-and-miss engines, automobile engines, and live-steam engine.  He knew them all, and was always glad to share what he knew with others.  Although he never hunted, he had a machinist’s appreciation of firearms, and was known as a knowledgeable, astute collector and trader of well-made hand guns. 

Bob is survived by his wife, Susan, of Hillsboro; two brothers: Donald of Searsport, ME, and William and his wife, Constance, of Concord, NH; two children: Stephan and Diana, both of Littleton, MA; three grandchildren:  Renee, Johnathan, Christopher; and one great-granddaughter:  Riley.  

Graveside Services will be held October 1, 2016 at 1 pm  in the West Lebanon Cemetery, In West Lebanon, NH.
