HILLSBORO, NH: Carl Richard Kansky, age 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 4, 2016.
Carl was born in Elizabeth, NJ to Raymond Dewey Kansky and Laura Smith Kansky. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife of 59 years, Carolyn B. Kenny Kansky and his son Richard Carl Kansky.
Carl is survived by his daughters, Sharon Dowling and husband Tom of Hancock, NH and Barbara Dastgheib of Tyngsboro, MA, four grandchildren, Reza Dastgheib, Timothy Dowling, Hadi Dastgheib and wife Amanda, and Katherine Dowling and a great-grandson Bentley Carl Dastgheib.
Carl was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Navy as a machinist. He loved being on the water and was an enthusiastic sailor. Carl was also an avid reader who frequented the Hillsboro Library with his indomitable dog, Dixie. He had been a scoutmaster, who passed on his love of camping to the entire family. He was an active and engaged father, grandfather and uncle with an incredible love of life. All of those who came into contact with Carl, neighbors and friends, were drawn to his warm and loving personality.
Services & Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
