Richard P. Cullen 84, of Hillsboro, NH died on December 9, 2016 at the Pine Rock Manor, Warner NH.
He was born May 7, 1932 in Bridgeport, CT to the late Evelyn Peck and Irving L. Cullen, Sr.
He was a graduate of Stratford High School, Stratford, CT. He Joined the Air Force and then started his love for baseball as an umpire which continued for over 50 years. He also served as a firefighter in Stratford, CT for over 30 years and became a lector at Saint James’ Church in Stratford and continued at St. Mary’s here in Hillsboro. He was also involved with the Hillsboro/Deering High School, selling tickets at the basketball games and you would always see him at voting time as Supervisor of the Checklist.
Survived by his two children, daughter, Linda David and husband Robert David of Hillsboro, NH, and son Timothy Cullen and wife Cathy Cullen of Beacon Falls, CT; two grandchildren, Sean Pilley and Carrie Neuendorf and seven great grandchildren.
He was the eldest of ten children, five sisters, Evelyn Croteau of Hillsboro, NH, Ethel Timpanelli of Waterbury, CT, Kathleen Cordisco of Binghampton, NY, Linda MacLannan of Stratford, CT, Dorothy Gosart of Concord, NC, brothers, Irving Cullen, Jr. of Stratford, CT, and James Cullen of Shelton, CT. He was predeceased William Cullen and Robert Cullen.
A Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church in Hillsboro, NH on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 10 am.
